Judge’s Critique

PD (2, 1) 1 Mercer & Thomas’ Foxriever Star Tribute To Stormacre. Gangly youngster who hasn’t quite got his head together as yet, but has a good temperament, still needs to strengthen all through but the basics are there and he is pretty promising.
JD (2) 1 Masson & Glover’s Tessmene Summer Solstice. Heavy head and too much stop, lips could be tighter, ok in front and shoulder, well made body, deep chest, firm backline and good over croup, moved close in rear but has a fair stride in profile. 2 Driscoll’s Fleetpaw One For Arthur. Also a heavy head for his size, muzzle too short and too much stop, reasonable front and withers quite high, well ribbed, good topline, straight in rear and needs more angulation.
PGD (3) 1 Masson & Glover’s Tessmene Summer Solstice. 2 Edworthy’s Maycourt Cadillac. Very tense for me to go over him, but he did stand, poor hindquarters and weak moving away, good coat, reasonable front but needs a little more angulation both ends, head pleasing, good muzzle and eyes set correctly.
OD (2) 1 & CC, Stephens’ Sh Ch Brightmeadow Never Say Die JW ShCM. Two good and typical dogs. Winner could certainly lose a few pounds to advantage but he moved well and soundly, ok in head, lovely eyes and expression, good front and shoulder lay, needs a trifle more weight off his underline, well bent stifles and low hocks, good tight crisp curls. 2 & Res CC, Mercer & Thomas’ Elkysar Black Arrow Over Stormacre. Lovely to go over and in immaculate body and muscletone, also admired his head and pigment, well placed eyes, not the movement of above and was rather weak in rear, excellent coat and condition right through.
PB (2) 1 & BP, Mercer & Thomas’ Tyneside’s My Heart Will Go On To Stormacre (Imp). Super temperament and handles well. I loved her head, eye set and expression, not too much stop and a wedge shaped skull and foreface, needs more front angulation, excellent bone and tight feet, well bodied for age and good couplings, tail set and carried well, good mover in profile, can still improve up and down.
JB (2, 1) 1 & Res CC, James’ Kahawei Teal. Fell in love with this girls head and temperament, really classic head with a perfectly shaped skull and well set eyes, sound true front, good forechest, correct body and ribbing, carried well back, ok in rear, tail set a touch low but carried out well moving, nice tight curls, sound legs and feet.

PGB (1) 1 Shears’ Maycourt Laser Love. Fair head and pigment, a mite short in muzzle and falls away under the eyes, neck should be longer, pretty good front, deep chest, excellent topline and rear, moved out well all round, coat in good order too.
LB (3, 1) 1 Jones’ Lizallwood Hello Again. Nice pair! Liked her head and front, was good to go over but she does bang her front a touch moving, excellent body and quarters, tail coming off croup correctly, super coat and body condition, sound legs and good feet. 2 Spraggins’ Maycourt Hot Love At Tusepo. Also a super girl with the best hindquarters so far, she has width and drive in rear and uses them beautifully. Not quite the head of winner and her shoulder blades are set too far apart at the withers. Maybe a touch more bone below the pasterns would help too. In good coat and body condition.
OB (7, 2) 1, CC & BOB, Jack’s Maycourt Space Oddity. Classic, shapely and full of quality, lovely head and muzzle, ears set well up on skull, excellent front and quarters, well ribbed and conditioned and she moved well all round, coat in good order and looks weatherproof. A beauty. 2 Courtier’s Sh Ch Maycourt Crimson Moon. Just could lose some weight and she would be a lot more active and fitter, also sound, super legs and deep chest, ribbing carried well back, good head and neckline. 3 Whitehead’s Sh Ch Kelsmere Kamana For Foxriever ShCM.
