Judge’s Critique

VD (1) 1 Millichamp’s CUrlabull Iron Lion Zion ShCM. Good, well made dog, very pleasing head, good shape, nice dark eye, good feet and strength in neck, well sprung ribs, clean enough up and down, in profile topline not as consistent, decent coat, good texture.
PD (2) 1 Millichamp’s Foxriever Solent Sensation At Wightcurls. Two pleasing pups, preferred head and movement of first, good bone and feet, decent spring to rib, good coat and tail. 2 Mercer & Thomas’ Foxriever Star Tribute To Stormacre. Not as advanced as first but just a youngster, moved ok, not as co-ordinated as first, head needs work.
JD (2, 1) 1 Masson & Glover’s Tessmene Summer Solstice. Good shape to head, nice dark eye, good fill to chest and good forechest, needs to strengthen behind, coat ok for age.
PGD (2) 1 Johnstone & Stokes’ Talismanic Bag Of Tricks. Nicely balanced dog, super head and eye with that typical Curly outlook, good strong neck into a good front assembly, correct bone and super feet, good depth to chest and good spring, strong loin, nicely muscled moderate back end, super coat and condition, has that elegant yet powerful movement, well shown at nearly 2 yrs, shows great promise, a definite star. CC and BOB. 2 Millichamp’s Curlabull Dark Moon Rising At Wightcurls. Slightly more head on this dog, nicely put together all through, would prefer better definition behind, decent coat.
LD (2, 1) 1 Mahon, Hunns & Newton’s Curlabull New York Jet ShCM. Nicely balanced dog, head not as wedge shaped as others, good fill to body and was typical in profile, again a good coat, shown well.
OD (3) 1 Phillips & Harris’ Sh Ch Laguna Love Desmond At Gladrags (Imp). Impressive dog, just preferred young dogs profile, nice head and eye, typical expression, well made throughout, could have had a little less weight, good coat and texture. RCC. 2 Mistlin’s Maycourt Starman By Crookwood ShCM. Close up, lacked a bit of condition, but has all the attributes. 3 Mercer & Thomas’ Elkysar Black Arrow Over Stormacre.
PB (3, 1) 1 Mercer & Thomas’ Tyneside’s My Heart Will Go On To Stormacre (Imp). Two good pups, preferred body fill and co-ordination of first. Very pleasing head and good eye, correct bone, moved out well. I am sure will do well, decent coat for age. 2 Carrick & Carrick’s Tessmene One In A Million (ai). Another very pleasing youngster, just pipped at the post today, typical outlook and coat.
JB (2) 1 James’ Kahawei Teal. Nice bitch, has all the attributes and has that Curly outlook. Moved out well with elegance with decent coat, she is young and needs maturity, but has that special look.
LB (2, 1) 1 Carrick & Carrick’s Tessmene Ooo La La. Ok head and eye, decent body proportions, just not the condition of others, moved ok, topline could be a shade better.
OB (3, 1) 1 Jones’ Lizallwood Hello Again. Two nice bitches. She had the edge on movement and balance today, good body proportions and super coat, very pleasing head and eye. CC. 2 Whitehead’s Sh Ch Kelsmere Kamana For Foxriever ShCM. Good expression and nice fill to body, could not match that elegant yet powerful movement of first. Again a good coat. RCC.
