Judge’s Critique:

My thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge this wonderful breed at their show. Thanks to the exhibitors for bringing their dogs under me and accepting my decisions with good grace.

Puppy Dog (3,1)
1 Maycourt I’m Still Standing (Jack). 2 raw pups still very much in the developing stages, nice shape and size to this liver boy, strong head with nice wedge shape and slight stop, strong neck and good front, straight forelegs and tight feet, enough rib for his age, pleasing topline and found him with correct coat for his age, good turn of stifle behind, both still immature on the move, just preferred this boys overall balance.
2. Foxriever Fire Fly (ai) (Sutton & Whitehead & Whitehead). Another liver boy, slightly larger cast than 1, balanced head and good body shape, coat formed for tight crisp curls, good angles behind, just a bit flatter on the move than 1.

Junior Dog (3,1)
1. Foxriever Immortal Spirit (Sutton & Whitehead & Whitehead). Black male who I liked the moment he came into the ring. Loved his shape and balance, clean head of good shape and proportions, good neck and well laid shoulders, correct fore chest and straight front legs, deep well sprung ribs and strong firm topline, found his coat with nice crisp curls, well muscled behind, with a good turn of stifle, strong boned and found him mature and free flowing on the move, nothing out of place. Was pleased to come down the line in the challenge and give him RBD
2. Foxriever Fire Fly (ai) (Sutton & Whitehead & Whitehead). As per 2nd Puppy.

Yearling Dog (1)
1. Krisbos Leonidas with Molokain (IKC) (Clack & Clack & Battle-Hunter & Eddery). Liver male who may not be the biggest, but is balanced, and presents an excellent shape when stood, good head proportions and strong neck, well laid shoulders and correct front assembly, deep in rib, firm topline, strong, short coupled and with a slight tuck up, well muscled behind with a moderate turn of stifle, found him in best of coat, well handled on the move where he showed good footfall and drive behind.
Deserved his BD.

Post Graduate Dog (1)
1. Brightmeadow Man of Steel (Edworthy). Imposing liver male, please head and good eye, strong neck and well sprung rib, good topline, would like a little more substance to his rear, found him in good coat, moved ok when settled just a bit wayward at times,

Open Dog (2,1)
1. Maycourt Heartbreaker (Edworthy) Black dog of good shape when stacked, clean head of good proportions, strength to neck and well laid shoulders, good front with correct forechest, deep chest and enough tuck up, coat formed of tight curls, showed good angles behind, liked his clean movement, but would like to see a little more oomph to him.

Puppy Bitch (1)
1. Tusepo Miss Scarlett (Spraggins). Sweet black bitch at her first show, loved her attitude, presented a lovely shape and size for her age when she settled, sweetest of head with a good head shape and a kind expression, bodying up nicely for age with ample rib, she presents a good topline and is short coupled, liked her angles behind good coat for age, very all together on the move show good footfall, BP

Limit Bitch (2)
1. Maycourt Take Me to The Top JW (Courtier). 2 Black girls of different types, preferred the size of 1, good shape to her when stacked with a good balanced profile, good head and expression with clean wedge like head shape, good neck and well laid shoulders, correct front assembly with good forechest and straight front legs set on tight feet, good rib and firm topline, strong through loin and good width to thigh, well turned stifles, good drive in profile on the move. 2. Maycourt Miss Sweetness at Tengore (Perkins). Liked the shape of this bitch, but just a tad big all over for me, correct shape to head and good neck and shoulders, found her with typical tight curly coat, strength in her rear quarters, but slightly criss crossing her back legs on the move going away.

Open Bitch (2,1)
1. Sh Ch Molokain Hocus Pocus (Clack & Eddery & Clack). Have judged this black bitch before and not disappointed to see she’s come on even more. Lovely head and eye, good head shape, clean though neck set on well laid shoulders, straight in forelegs and good bone for a bitch, well sprung rib of good depth and correct firm topline, short strong loin and strong well muscled rear quarters, found her with correct crisp curls to her coat, all together on the move showing straight lines both away and back and good reach and drive in profile, pleased to upgrade her from last time I judged her and award her the BB and also BOB.
