Judge’s Critique
Thank you to the exhibitors for accepting me as their replacement judge. It is always an honour to judge this lovely breed, one of my favourites in the Gundog Group.
PGD (2) 1 Rule’s Just The Ticket Jurajska Gwiazda At Overbore. Of good breed type,well balanced. Super head, correct wedge shape with correct eye shape and colour.Well laid back shoulder, well bodied with good spring of rib. Muscular hindquarters with good bend of stifle, moved well with good rear extension. Good coat with correct crisp curls in excellent condition. Best Dog & BOB. 2 Driscoll’s Fleetpaw One For Arthur. Very mature dog, well balanced with excellent forechest. Well off for bone, good bend of stifle and moved well. RBD.
JB (1) 1 Rule’s Overbores Perfect Storm. Alone but a very nice example. Just 1 year old but very mature, very typey head with lovely wedge shape and correct parallel planes. Correct shoulder placement, good spring of rib and moderate bend of stifle. In good coat and condition with coat of neat crisp curls. Moved well covering the ground easily.
YB (1) 1 Whitehead’s Foxriever Striking Spirit. Of good breed type, well balanced with correct typey head, kind eye dark in colour. Good depth to chest well sprung ribs, moderate bend of stifle. Well muscled and in good body. Coat of good tight curls and in good condition. Just a little lockdown shy but Im sure will improve with exposure. Moved ok when settled.
PGB (1) 1 Whitehead’s Fleetwoods Sundevil Empress Among Foxriever (Imp USA). 2 year old bitch of good type and quality. Very typey throughout, lovely head with good expression. Correct bend of stifle well bodied. Coat in excellent curl and condition. Moved well with drive. RBB.
OB (1) 1 Whitehead’s Foxriever Flawless Finesse. 2 year old mature bitch. Correct head shape typical for the breed. Strong neck with slight arch. Well laid back shoulder, strong and powerful. Good spring of rib well covered. Well muscled hindquarters with moderate bend of stifle. In lovely coat with tight curls and in shining condition. Moved well covering the ground easily. Best Bitch.
