Judge’s Critique:
I was very pleased to be invited to judge at Darlington for my first appointment awarding CCs. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, made extra special by awarding crowning CCs to both the dog and bitch. I must thank the Darlington committee and my fabulous ring steward for making the day run smoothly. The biggest thanks must go the exhibitors for supporting me and bringing your dogs for me to enjoy judging.

1 Barber’s Tonispada Vuori Vincent By Blanshard, black 11 month old. Nicely made confident puppy. Head not finished, so looks rather long through muzzle at the moment. Correct bite. Excellent front assembly, well laid shoulders into good topline. Strong rear. Good coat. Movement was good when settled. BP.

1 Valentine’s Ravenho Tallow Tango At Pattonia. Black dog, 15 months. Well made masculine dog. Super head and expression. Good front. Strong, straight legs. Tight feet. Took time to settle but moved ok when he did. 2 Finch’s Molokain Doing The Do At Cetgueli Black dog 14 months. Good overall shape and quality. Nice head shape. Good in front with shoulders well placed. I’d like a little more angulation on rear. Movement ok. Some areas where coat was sparse.

1 Hodson’s Rowancurl Gentle Gaelor. Loved this boy. Nicely made throughout, showing good strength right through the topline to the rear. Well placed shoulder and nice straight legs. Shown in fantastic condition and wearing a lovely tight curled coat. Super mover, gait was so free and effortless. This boy has a bright future, just not quite the finished picture as CC winner. Delighted to award RCC.
2 Tarelli’s Firecurl Some Like It Hot At Tarockwood (ai). Lovely liver boy, super masculine head with good proportions throughout. Shown in good condition. Just not the movement of class winner.

1 Solomon’s Foxriever Mystic Marvel At Elkysar. Caught my eye straight away in the line. Strong and upstanding masculine boy. Good neck and shoulders, strong topline. Great depth of rib and strong forechest. Beautifully made throughout and presented in suburb condition with the best jacket of tight curls. Owned the ring on the move, showing power and drive. Delighted to award the CC & BOB.
2 Tarelli’s Hunters Pride Jurajska Gwiazda At Tarockwood (Imp Pol). Masculine head. Good strong neck. Well laid shoulders. Good depth to chest. Movement ok.

1 Whitehead’s Sh Ch Kelsmere Kamana For Foxriever Sh.cm 9 years old and still one of the better movers of the day. Feminine and balanced throughout, beautifully made. BV.

1 Moskowitz’s Ravenho Mochara Cadeaux. Very sweet character. Feminine head with soft expression. Pleasing overall outline. Correct proportions, medium neck into well laid back shoulders. Good depth to rib. Moderate bend of stifle. Nice confident movement.
2 McKenzie’s Ravenho Toulouse Latresco At Beddgelert. Litter sister to 1 and lots of similarities. Could easily swap place with 1st on another day. Just not quite as together on the move, became a little uncoordinated.
3 Inman’s Foxreiver Silver Wing Among Keamarola

1 Moskowitz’s Brighmeadow Moondance. Nice liver, with pleasing head. Made well throughout with good sound movement.

1 Hayes, Chattwood, Walton & Biglin’s Gorchest’s Pendlecurl Rising Star At Pepperiever (Imp USA). A smaller framed girl, all in proportion. Very feminine with lovely head and expression. Good neck into well laid shoulders. Strong topline. Good movement, showing well and looked to be enjoying her day out.
2 McKenzie’s Ravenho Toulouse Latresco At Beddgelert repeat from Junior.
OB (5)
1 Mercer & Thomas’s Tyneside’s My Heart Will Go On To Stormacre JW. Very pleasing to the eye. Everything in proportion and balanced. Feminine head. Firm topline. Lovely angulation front and rear. Moved beautifully round the ring with flowing gait. Excellent condition and presentation. Delighted to award the CC and later found out her third so another show champion for the breed.
2 Spraggins’s Tusepo Amazing Love. Feminine liver bitch. Nicely made throughout, just enough bone. Good proportions and balanced outline. Sound mover, just needed a bit more animation to challenge CC winner. Just lost out today on final movement but a well deserved RCC.
