Carole Coode apologises for the delay in the publication of her critique.  The report was sent to Our Dogs back on 12th March, but it failed to go to print despite their acknowledgment.

1st   SH CH PEPPERIEVER BEECH AT CROOKWOOD JW (MRS S D MISTLIN) Black of 9 ½ years, elegant masculine outline, pleasing head piece, nicely angulated to front and rear quarters, ribs deep and well ribbed back loin was strong, moved out soundly on good legs and tight feet, super crisp curls to coat. Best Veteran.

2nd  GER CH/VDH/DRC/LUX /NL/PL/AUT CH/CIE/CIB LUCKY CURLS CC CODY [ATC AP00327DEU] (MRS A & MISS A TOSTMANN) Liver of 9 ½ years, excellent balanced outline, good wedge shaped head, pleasingly angulated to front & rear, ribs had good heart room, strong topline on the move, 1 had the edge on coat & feet.

1st  FIRECURL SOME LIKE IT HOT AT TAROCKWOOD (AI) (MR R M & MRS W TARELLI) Just 1 year, good upstanding outline, head correct shape, good eye, teeth, and length of muzzle, clean neck set into pleasing shoulders, ribs had spring depth & length, strong topline, well set tail, moved out true front and rear, on strong legs & tight feet. Good curl to coat. Best Puppy dog.

1st  FOXRIEVER SOLENT SENSATION AT WIGHTCURLS (MR P & MS B MILLER & MILLICHAMP) Big upstanding youngster of 13 months, good outline and balance, good curl to coat, pleasing in head, nicely angulated to front and rear, good ribs, topline, and tail set, strong legs, needs to tighten up in movement.

2nd   CLEVER & CREATIVE FROM TORNADO BETA [ATC AW02185LTU] (MR S E KAMARAUSKAS) Sixteen months, liked him lots, smaller size, soundly made, with  good fore and rear quarters, in good coat moving soundly on good legs and tight feet, a little hesitant to be handled at first, but over came it.

1st  FLAIRFOR DOWN TO THE RIVER [ATC AV02050USA] (MRS C MOULY) Black nearly two years, great outline, elegant, good masculine head, nicely arched neck set into decent forehand, well made ribs, deep & well ribbed back, short strong loin, good topline, moved out well, eventually, when he stopped pacing, good bone, feet could be tighter, excellent coat.

2nd  FLEETPAW ONE FOR ARTHUR (MRS H DRISCOLL) Liver nearly 2 years, good masculine head, excellent neck set into well made forequarters, correct ribs topline and loin, low hocks, moved out soundly on good legs and feet, coat of good curl.

3rd  CURLABULL DARK MOON RISING AT WIGHTCURLS (MR P & MS B MILLER & MILLICHAMP) 3 year old black, body needed a little more length for correct body to height ratio, pleasing masculine head set onto clean neck let into well made forequarters, correct ribs, good rear end crisp curl to coat.

1st  FLEETPAW WONDERING STAR (MR N T & MRS F M TITLEY) 2 ½ year old black, loved his elegant balanced outline, most pleasing head proportions, good neck flowed into well made forequarters, ribs had correct spring depth & length, loin short & strong, topline strong, well bent stifle and good second thigh, low hocks, excellent legs and feet, in great coat and moved out well. Dog CC & BOB. He looked good in the Gundog Group ring.

3rd  MAYCOURT CADILLAC (MRS M EDWORTHY) 3 ½ year old black, excellent outline, most pleasing masculine head, not quite the forequarters of 1 & 2, strong neck set into well laid shoulder, upper arm could have had more angulation, excellent through the body, moving well on good legs and feet, crisp curls.

1st  SH CH BRIGHTMEADOW NEVER SAY DIE JW SHCM (MR J & MRS M B STEPHENS) 3 year old black, loved his outline, elegant masculine head, great neck into well made forehand, correct through the ribs loin topline and tailset, really well made rear with good stifle and second thigh, moving out soundly on good legs and feet. 2nd  ELKYSAR BLACK ARROW OVER STORMACRE (MISSES C & L A MERCER & THOMAS) 3 year old black, Balanced outline with good height to length proportions, just preferred the head of 1, clean neck set into well made forequarters, very well made through the ribs, loin, topline, decent turn of stifle and good 2^nd thigh, moved out well on good legs and feet, crisp curls.

3rd  SH CH LAGUNA LOVE DESMOND AT GLADRAGS (IMP LVA) (MR H R & MRS G, MR W C PHILLIPS & HARRIS) black of nearly 3 years, another excellent balanced outline, pleasing masculine head, clean neck set into well made forequarters, correct through the ribs, loin, topline and tailset, good turn of stifle and decent 2^nd thigh, moved out well on good legs and feet. Crisp curled coat.

2nd  KUKKASEN KEITA BY CABALLUS (IMP FIN) (MR G EVANS) Liver of nearly 8 months, sweet baby, excellent outline, feminine head set on good neck, forequarters of 1 slightly better, well made through the ribs, loin and topline, good stifle and second thigh, correct bone and feet, crisp curls to coat.

3rd  FIRECURL GEORGIE PORGIE (MRS J CLAYTON) Liver of 1 year, pleasing outline, liked the head, not quite to forequarters of those above, sound through the ribs, loin, topline and tailset, sound legs and feet, would have liked a little more stifle, moved out well.

2nd  CELEBRATED CARAMEL FROM TORNADO BETA (IMP LTU) (MS S M CARLIN) 16 month liver, decent outline, perhaps just a little too much tuck up, pleasing feminine head, set on good neck, well laid shoulder, upper arm of 1 better, well made through the body, decent stifle and second thigh, good legs and feet.

2nd  TESSMENE MADE YOU LOOK ( MRS K RICHARDS) Black of 20 months, very clean outline, just a fraction to much tuck up for me, most pleasing feminine head, good neck and lay of shoulder, not quite the upper arm of 1, excellent ribs, loin, topline and tailset, decent turn of stifle, good legs and feet, crisp curl.

3rd  PEPPERIEVER LOVE IN A MIST AT TUSEPO (MR N & MRS S D SPRAGGINS) Black of 6 years, good outline, I would have liked a little more strength in the muzzle for me, clean neck, forequarters well made, good through the ribs and body, topline went off a little over the croup, well boned legs, moved out well, coat of crisp curls.

2nd  STORMACRE MARGUERITA TIME (MISSES C & L A MERCER & THOMAS) Black of 3 ½  years, pleasing clean outline, excellent feminine head, good neck set into well made forehand, good through the body, decent rear end with well turned stifle and second thigh, good legs, feet could be tighter, moved out well wearing a crisp coat of curls.

3rd  KAHAWEI TEAL JW (MISS T JAMES) Black of 22 months, clean balanced outline, pleasing feminine head, well made fore and rear quarters, correct through the ribs, moving out well in excellent coat.

2nd  SH CH MAYCOURT CRIMSON MOON (MISS D COURTIER) Black of 3 ½ years, another cracker, excellent outline, good headpiece, set on clean neck, not quite the forequarters of 1, really well made through the body, excellent rear end with good stifle and second thigh, moved out well in excellent coat.

3rd  CIE CH INTI ANKA AMBRA [ATC AX00254CZE] ( D STAMIDISOVA) Liver of 3 ½ years, clean balanced outline, very good headpiece, excellent neck set into reasonable forehand, well made through the body, super rear end, moved out well on good legs and feet, in pleasing coat.

1st  CH ALL I EVER WANTED GOLIGHTLY WITH ROUGHYEDS (IMP LVA) (MR A & MRS J FINDLOW) Good to see a full champion in this class, not in her best coat today, but soundly constructed, topped by good feminine head, clean neck set into well made forequarters, correct through the ribs, loin topline, well muscled rear, moved out soundly.
