The Working Curly
Working Minority Retriever Club Working Test,
25 May 2024
Beverley Snudden & Olive – Roughyeds Regal Return (12 months old), took part in Judy Hempstead’s WMRC first working test of the year, run with support of The UK Irish Water Spaniel Association, at Selbourne. Beverley told us,
That’s our first WT completed, Olive was a good girl – although she ran in on each test, she did two heel exercises perfectly & delivered consistently to hand. Her marking & hunting in long grass was spot on too. Lots to work on but I was elated with how she coped & worked with me, a great connection under competition pressure! Loving her exuberance & character throughout the day!’

Dog Fest, Ragley Hall, 25 May 2024
Most Handsome Dog, (36 entries)
2 Siobhan Null’s ‘Sully’, Tessmene Southside Fizz

Hoopers Competition, 26 May 2024
The Durham Dogs Hooperettes had their first Hoopers Competition this year, held at CAST Training in Leeming Bar. Shirley Buchanan & May, Fleetpaw First Lady, took part. Shirley told us,
First Hoopers competition this year and May did 6 runs in Starters-Tunnellers x2, Barrellers x2, Touch n Go and Hoopers – we got a 3rd place, a clear round, 2 rounds with 5 faults and 2 eliminations and got 25 league points, so we did better than I expected. May enjoyed it and Glory, (Curlies On Wings Crossroad Glory) went to have a look, she is still learning how to do it’
