Congratualtions to Jackie Evans with:
Lexi – Rowancurl Beachcomber, on passing her Grade 2 Retriever, with Distinction, 100 points out of 100, and
Keita – Kukkasen Keita By Caballus, on passing her Grade 3 Retriever, with Distinction, dropping just 1 point out of 160.

The Grade 2 test is set up around three marker posts – a sit, a start and a stop. The obedience requirements are Heel, Stay, Recall, & Stop. The retriever requirements are Memory, Marking, & Directions.
For the Grade 3 test the obedience requirements are Heel, Stay – Steadiness to fall, Handler out of sight, & Handler Distance, Stop, & 2 Recalls. The retriever requirements are Marking, Memory, Nose, & Persistence. Marked Retrieves – 2 to land, & 1 to water. Directional Control – 2 blind retrieves.

Jackie told us she was trilled with the results, and so proud that she had managed to do it. She said that the assessor Collette had commented on the wonderful temperament of both her girls. Steady but willing to please, and a natural ability.

Hoopers, 22 October 2023
Shirley Buchanan & May – Fleetpaw First Lady, were out doing Hoopers on Sunday – May got a clear round and 3rd place in Starters Barrellers and a clear round in Starters Touch n Go, got 10 faults in Starters Tunnellers, and was eliminated in Starters Hoopers and the other Starters Barrellers.
Glory – Curlies On Wings Crossroad Glory, had a go at Starters Hoopers and had great fun getting eliminated but did go through some of the hoops, she got a little distracted by being in an equestrian centre and other dogs in the other ring but enjoyed herself.
