Gundog Training Evening Sessions, £25 per session, 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Held on purpose built training ground at Malmesbury, Wiltshire and run by Jill Gardner, owner of Foxcote Golden Retrievers.

Breed Rep – Meet Curlies at The Game Fair, Ragley Hall, 24 to 26 July 2026
If your at The Game Fair this year, you can meet Curlies in the Meet The Breeds – Sporting Dogs Pavillion, and see them taking part in the demos and parades.
The Curly Coated Retriever Working Gundog Team is taking part in the Minority Gundog Breed Challenge on Sunday morning (26 July) from 9.30 in the Hertford Arena, along with Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Irish Water Spaniels, organised and run by The Working Minority Retriever Club.

1 Harris BRIGHTMEADOW WISH COME TRUE AT DREAMCURL Liver d. Fab oval eyes that say this dog is gentle and an old soul in a young body. Classic wedge-shaped head front and side profile, ears well set, above eye level. Quite steep to croup, balanced angulation fore and aft.Movedd sound and true. Shown is excellent coat condition BOB.

1 Jack’s Maycourt I’m Still Standing. A 17-month-old male with a well-balanced headpiece, good overall proportions and tight, neat feet. Moved well.
PG (4, 2)
1 Courtier’s Maycourt Cover Shot. The overall lay of shoulder won this exhibit first place. Well-muscled shoulders assisted a good reach of foreleg as she covered the ground. RBB.
2 Edworthy’s Brightmeadow Man of Steel. Lots to like, although this lad seemed somewhat reluctant to cooperate with his handler. Covered the ground well enough but was not as true in front construction as the winner.

1 Courtier’s Maycourt Take Me to the Top. An eye-catching girl with good breed head planes. Deep chested, held her topline well and had powerful hindquarters. Just needed time to settle in the ring but very much one to fill the eye. BOB.
2 Edworthy’s Maycourt Heartbreaker. Heavier set than the winner, with a good deep chest. Just not as true on the move as 1st.
