Angela Osborne 1941 – 2026
It is with regret that the Curly Coated Retriever Club acknowledges the passing of member Angie Osborne. Angie adored her dogs, she was a devoted member of the Club and a lifelong lover of the breed, her dogs were her faithful companions throughout her life. Angie will be very much missed and we send our deepest sympathy to her family and all those close to her.
The service to celebrate Angie’s life will take place on Thursday 3rd September at 12.30pm, at Charing Crematorium, New Court Wood, Charing, TN27 0EB. Family flowers only. Angie’s wish was for everyone to wear whatever they feel comfortable in, and of course Dogs are welcome.

Breed Representation at Wiltshire Game & Country Fair, 8 & 9 August 2026
Curlies were represented at the Wiltshire Game and Country Fair – Last weekend Kopis (Roughyeds Regal George At Treecave) and Tolly (Crimblescurl Elm) along with their humans, Rachel Arnold and James Dobson, Beth and Stephen Spencer were at Bowood House for the Wiltshire Country Show. It was a hot weekend but the pens were in the shade and there was a lake for the dogs to take a dip. Saturday was very busy with people coming to say hi, Sunday was quieter. Sunday morning a gundog demo of the Minority Retriever Breeds was performed under a huge oak tree with Kopis taking part. It’s getting to the end of the country show season but there are still a couple of opportunities to come and cuddle a curly. We even have stickers….

Pet Blood Bank UK
Nikki Dick’s Arthur and her labrador, Brian have been giving blood this week at the Pet Blood Bank UK. She told us, ‘Brian was awarded his 10 donation badge and a special water bottle. Elsie went along at special request for moral support…’
The Pet Blood Bank UK website tells us that the Pet Blood Bank ‘exists to help save the lives of pets in need’, and ‘every unit of blood helps to save up to four lives’. So it’s really important work – Well Done Gang!

2nd Sutton’s Foxriever Immortal Sprit JW – A honest dog with a super head & eye, strong and upstanding male, super neck into good shoulder placement, super deep brisket, of oval shape, powerful loin, like more moderate turn of stifle to balance him out, moved well good side profile.
