Judge’s Critique

PD ( 1 )

1 Hodson’s Rowancurl Gentle Gaelor. Promising youngster who presented a very typical and balanced outlook. Well off for bone and substance but still had that degree of elegance the standard asks for. Pleasing head, eye and expression. Well made front assembly, good body for his age and well developed hindquarters. Once he settled moved soundly, BP.

PGD ( 1 )

1 Stubb’s Brightmeadow Take Your Time at Densdale. Liked his make and shape and has good strength throughout. Balanced head with a lovely eye and the best of expressions. Strong muscular neck set in well placed shoulders, pleasing spring of rib and well muscled quarters. Sound mover who covered the ground on a good stride.

 LD ( 2,1 )

1 Tarelli’s Firecurl Some Like It Hot at Tarockwood. Another very well balanced dog with good bone and substance but shows no sign of coarseness. Pleasing head with a very typical appearance and a kind eye. Excellent depth of chest with plenty of heartroom and good strength of hindquarters. Moved well but could just have been a little more positive on the day.

 OD ( 4,1 )

1 Stephens Sh.Ch.Brightmeadow Never Say Die JW ShCM. Have admired this dog from the ringside and was disappointed when I got my hands on him. Beautifully balanced, excellent confirmation and combined with his many breed attributes you can understand the top winning this dog has done. Best of heads, scores in front assembly, firm body holding his topline at all times and strong powerful quarters. Such a sound and positive mover, CC, BOB and pleased to see him go G4 later in the day.

2 Stokes & Johnstones Sh.Ch.Talismanic Bag Of Tricks. Favourite of mine who I gave BP to the last time I judged the breed and he has definitely fulfilled that early promise and was unlucky to meet the winner on such form today. Another of good size and well balanced throughout. Very typical in head with a good eye and expression. Firm body with a good spring of rib, well muscled hindquarters with a pleasing bend of stifle. Moved well on a good stride, Res.CC.

3 Tarelli’s Hunters Pride Jurajska Gwiazda at Tarockwood ( Imp Pol )

SBD/B ( 1 )

1 Wynne-Jones’s Crimblescurl Cherry. Judged her recently at the Royal Cheshire Show and liked her then. Very typey bitch who handles well and is nicely put together. Balanced head with a pleasing eye and expression. Very clean over the neck and shoulders, good depth, well sprung ribs and pleasing quarters. Moved soundly both fore and aft.

JB ( 2,1 )

1 Bain’s Crimbleescurl Time To Tango. Youngster who shows much promise. Beautifully balanced throughout and has the required strength with that touch of elegance. Pleasing head, eye and expression. Good reach of neck and a pleasing layback of shoulder and a well developed body for her age. Once she got into her stride moved well. Close up for top honours but still a little immature but her time will come I am sure.

PGB ( 4 )

1 Crimblescurl Time to Tango.

2 Crimblescurl Cherry.

3 Buchanan’s Fleetpaw First Lady.

LB ( 1 )

1 Cummings Molokain Enchanted One. A very sound and honest bitch who presented a very typical outlook both stood and on the move. Well off for bone and substance with good strength throughout but keeps a very feminine appearance. Balanced head with a good eye and expression. Pleasing front assembly with a good depth of chest and plenty of heartroom. Good width of hindquarters  and well let down hocks. Sound on the move, Res.CC

OB ( 3,2 )

1 Todd, Rahmans & Battle’s Anton Jeweller’s Pride Jurajska Gwiazda ( Imp Pol ). Quality bitch of good size and is very well built throughout and combines this with her typical appearance. Best of heads, correct wedge shape with a bright eye and expression. Good reach of neck set in well placed shoulders. Stands on good legs and feet, well bodied and a good spring of rib. Well made quarters and a good tailset and carriage. Soundest of movers on a positive stride, CC. Later heard this was her crowning ticket, well done.
