Judge’s Critique:
First of all I would like to thank the Committee for this appointment at a very well run show judging my favourite breed and a thank you to my Stewards for keeping my ring in order and making it a very enjoyable day. Also I was very grateful to all the exhibitors who supported me on the day.

1 Stephens Brightmeadow Rumour Has It, 10mth old black boy, Head of good proportions with kind dark eye full of expression & neat ears, very typy of the breed, nice reach of neck into well laid shoulders, straight front construction, ribs developing nicely, level topline & tailset carried well on the move, very balanced youngster lovely boned all through, neat feet, coat coming on, medium rear angles with hocks well let down, must have a great future, considered him for the RCC but just needs a little more time BPIB & delighted to see him go PG2.
2 Edworthy’s Brightmeadow Man Of Steel, 10mth old liver brother to 1, very pleasing head shape with a kind eye & full of mischief, neck of good length into well placed shoulders, good topline & tailset, nicely ribbed, not quite the bone & balance of 1, tight feet, in good jacket which just needs to tighten the curl, overall just needs more time to come together, difficult to assess the movement as he was unsettled giving his handler a hard time but I’m sure in the future he will do well.

1 Boorman & Brown’s Kahawei Star Catcher, 16mth old liver boy, masculine wedge shaped head with pleasing eye colour & earset, clean neck flowing into shoulder placement, straight front & well ribbed with tuck up, level topline & tailset, muscled rear quarters with a nice turn of stifle, good bone, coat of crisp curls in correct condition, moved soundly fore & aft, maturing nicely in body & very typy of the breed, will watch his progress.
2 Edworthy’s Brightmeadow Man Of Steel.

1 Janks TessmeneTempest Sky At Beauport, 4yr old liver boy, masculine head of correct shape with blending eye colour, strong neck into layback of shoulder, standing on well boned legs, deep chest with spring of rib, topline just slightly dropping off the croup, tight feet, in great jacket, a very strong sound mover one of the best on the day, good width of thigh in rear quarters & in hard condition.

1 Edworthy’s Maycourt Heartbreaker, 4yr old black boy, loved his head & expression, dark eye & ears framing the face, nice reach of neck into well laid shoulders, straight front with good depth of chest & spring of rib with tuck up, well angled front & rear, good turn of stifle with short hocks, strong topline & tailset, coat of crisp curls, standing on good feet, didn’t excel in drive round the ring today.
2 Flaher & Richards Tessmene Top Notch By Kagemusha, 4yr old black boy, full of confidence & alot to like about him, broader in skull than 1 but correct wedge shape with dark eye & neat ears, strong neck leading into well placed shoulders, straight front with deep chest & spring of rib, well off for bone throughout, needs firmer topline & tailset to give him a better outline on the move, medium rear angles with hocks well let down, in good coat.

1 Brookes Infalibles Black Crusader At Kelesmere, 4yr old black boy, had everything I was looking for & full of breed type, masculine head with wedge shape and level planes, a kind dark eye giving a melting expression & neat ears framing the face, neck flowing into well placed shoulders, straight front construction with return of forearm, excels in depth of chest with plenty of heart room, slight tuck up, solid topline & tailset held well on the move, correct rear angles with hocks well let down, well boned throughout, neat arched feet, presented in excellent coat of crisp curls, moved out with a touch of elegance that I had been looking for, DCC.
2 Boormans Sh Ch Tessmene Talk Of The Town, 4yr old liver, another nice young man, although a lot different in stature to 1 I can’t deny he is a very well made, wedge shaped head of pleasing proportions, had the darkest eye in the livers today, a strong neck into shoulder placement, a little heavier over the shoulders than 1 but a lovely straight front with good depth of chest & spring of rib, level topline & tailset, muscled 2nd thigh with good width, medium rear angles & short hocks, strong feet, coat in good condition with crisp curls, good bone throughout, moved out well covering the ground, shame to meet 1 today, RDCC.
3 Parker-Miles Sh Ch Tengore Mr Moonlight.

1 Stephens Brightmeadow Come On Eileen, 10mth black girlie, very feminine with a sweet expression, correct shaped head with dark eye & neat ears, good reach of neck into shoulder placement, level topline & tailset, ribs coming on nicely with slight tuck up, medium rear angles, coat just needs to tighten, neat feet, moved out well & just lost out in the challenge to her brother for BPIB, just needs time to come together more. BPB.

1 Perkins Maycourt Miss Sweetness At Tengore, 20mth old very pretty black girlie, head of nice proportions with wedge shape & melting dark eye, very alert & neat earset, neck flowing into shoulder placement, straight front construction, in good rib for age with slight tuck up, solid topline & tailset, coat of crisp curls, well off for bone, lovely bend of stifle with hocks well let down, standing on good feet, moved out well but would just like to have seen her moved to show the extension which I can see she would be capable of, was considered for RBCC, must have a promising future.
2 Courtier’s Maycourt Cover Shot, 20mth old liver girl, sister to 1, not as confident as 1, lovely shape to head with a feminine expression & good eye colour, neat ears, good reach of neck into layback of shoulder, well angled front & rear, not rib of 1 at the moment, level topline & tailset carried well on the move, coat a little open yet, medium bend of stifle with short hocks & nicely padded feet, really liked this girl & with maturity may change places with her sister sometimes in the future, well handled & moved soundly.
3 Flaher & Richards Tessmene Icing On The Cake By Kagemusha.

1 Parker-Miles Overbore’s Ace Of Hearts, 3yr old black girl, nicely balanced all through & well bodied, wedge shaped head of good proportions with alert dark eye & neat ears, correct neck into well placed shoulders, straight front with deep chest & well developed ribs, strong topline & tailset, coat okay, medium rear angles with well let down hocks, good feet, moved out well & workmanlike.
2 Janks Tessmene Tea For Two At Beauport, 4yr old black girlie, not quite bone of 1, pleasing head shape with feminine expression & dark eye, neck flowing into layback of shoulder, not front of 1, good depth of chest with spring of rib & slight tuck up, topline & tailset carried well on the move, well angled rear & standing on good feet, moved out well but just a little close going away.

1 Stephens Sh Ch Ravenho Uptown Girl For Brightmeadow JW, 2yr old black super girlie, typical of breed type, just loved the overall balance of this youngster, oozing femininity, wedge shaped head of correct proportions with beautiful dark eye full of expression with ears to frame, clean neck flowing into well laid shoulders, correct angles front & rear, deep chest with spring of rib, firm well developed topline & tailset, slight tuck up, well muscled 2nd thigh, well bent stifles & hocks let down, presented in good coat, superbly matured for age, moved with grace & style to show reach & drive winning her both challenges, BCC & BOB.
2 Clack’s Molokain Hocus Pocus, another balanced 2yr old black girlie, head of lovely proportions & shape with kind dark eye & a feminine expression, neat ears, good reach of neck into well made shoulders, straight front with return of forearm, good depth of chest with spring of rib with slight tuck up, strong topline & tailset & muscled rear quarters in hard condition, solid bone, jacket in great order full of crisp curls, moved out well with purpose just not the style of 1, happy to award her the RBCC.
