Crufts 2019
My thanks to the exhibitors, Crufts committee and especially my stewards who made me time run smoothly. The presentation and handling of the dogs have improved greatly although one or two would have benefited from that last tidy. We still have a mouth and movement problem, mouths perhaps heads are not what the standard askes for, movement we as a breed have a way to go. Temperaments generally are still very good.
VD (4,1) 1 Warendorf’s, Nl/Cie/Lu/Be/Udh/Se/No/Fi Ch. Roughyeds Poseidon. Elegant outline. Classic head, dark eye and small ears. Good feet. Moved with purpose. Good coat, well presented. 2. Riva’s, Roughyeds Neptune. Well constructed with good bone. Classic head, small ears and dark eye with gentle expresion. Good feet and coat. Not as positive on the move.
PD (4)1 Driscoll’s, Fleetpaw One for Arthur. Strong outline. Nice head and eye. Level topline, neat feet. Movement ok. 2. James’s, Kamawei Sunloch. Good bone and overall outline. Good coat. Moved ok when settled.
JD (5,1)1 Johnstone and Stokes’, Talismanic Bag of Tricks. Super anding. Good head, level topline but proud of his tail. 2. Driscoll’s, Fleetpaw One for Arthur.
PGD (3) 1 Titley’s, Fleetpaw Wondering Star. Strong outline. Good bone, good eye and expression. Tight feet. Moved ok. Very well presented. 2. Miller and Millichamp Curlabull Dark Moon Rising at Wrightcurls. Lighter in bone. Head, expression and eye colour good. Stood well, moved ok.
LD (7,1)1 Fielding’s, Roughyeds Romeo Beuben. Large masculine dog. Overall balance and outline good. Dark eye, soft expression. Keeping his topline on the move. Well presented. 2. Mercer and Thomas’s, Elkysar Black Arrow over Stormacre. Heavier set than winner. Deep chest, strong hindquarters. Tight crisp coat.
OD. (8,1) 1 Raunio’s, Mord/Fi/No/Nl Ch/Se Ch (N) Caballus John Deere. Dog of good size and proportions. Super outline standing and on the move. Excellent feet. Good head shape, dark eye, neat ears and soft expression. Excellent coat and presentation. Moving keeping his outline and casrrying his tail correctly. CC and BD. 2. Warendorf’s, Nl/Be/Adh/No/Lu/Ch Cie Ch. Bright Adventurer. Quality dog with overall balance and fgood movement. Happy temperament. Impressive all male profile. Well presented. Good crisp curly coat. RCC.

VB (4,3)1 Hayes’, Firecurl Myrtle Snap by Pepperiever. Small liver with lots of energy. Enjoying her day out. Good outline. Feminine head, soft expression. In good coat.
PB. (1). 1. James’s, Kahawei Teal. Sweet bitch with good bone and outline. In good coat. Moved steadily.
JB. (6) 1 Jacques’, Curlabull Northern Dancer. Compact bitch of good type and soundness. Feminine head with good expression. Thick curly coat. 2. Leduc’s, Dutch Curly Tia Maria. Taller than winner. Good head and eye. Moved with drive keeping her outline. Crisp curly coat.
PGB. (3,1). 1. Spraggins Pepperiever Love in a Mist at Tusepo. Smaller adequate bone. Good hea, neat ears, dark eye. Nice outline. Good curly coat.
LB. (5) 1 Gill and Peake’s, Kelsmere Kasscade at Saxonholme. Strong bitch. Good outline. Level topline. Feminine expression. Thick curly coat. Moved with steady purpose. RCC. 2. Leduc Dutch Curly Pommery Clos Dutch Jun Ch. Super overall balance. Not the bone of winner. Feminine head, soft expression. Moved well.
OB (8) 1 Thygesen Zoete Regenboog V Elegast. This bitch is the picture the standard askes for of correct size, super outline. Good bone, feminine expression with neat ears and dark eye. Good feet and super crisp curly coat. Her movement tops the picture keeping her outline with tail out straight, covering the ground with ease. CC and BOB. 2. Harm-Schinarz’s, Cie Laguna Love Charming Curly Chance. Not quite the bone of winner but has good qualities to like. Super outline, strong topline. Good head and expression. Excelent curly coat.
SpWORKING (1)1 Findlow’s, Roughyeds Echo Elsie. Smaller type in hard muscular workmanlike condition. Bright and alert active on the move.
GC (2,1) 1 Jack’s, Maycourt Space Oddity. Light in bone. Sweet head and expression. Moved with confidence.
