Judge’s Critique

PD (1) 1 Edworthy’s Maycourt Heartbreaker. A very promising puppy of 9 months with a crisp tight coat. Wedge shaped head with strong muzzle and lovely dark eye, clean strong neck into good shoulder placement. Deep chest with good spring of rib, tight feet with strong bone. Moved well when he settled to show a true action up and back and good drive from moderately angulated stifles. When he matures should have a bright future.
JD (3) 1 Parker-Miles’ Tengore Mr Moonlight. Attractive well developed male. Good wedge shaped head with correct dark eye and strong jaw. Neck is strong and flows into well laid shoulders, strong forehand assembly, straight bone and good feet. Balanced in body, ribs carried well back into firm loin. Hindquarters are muscular with moderate stifles. Movement was free and showed good reach and drive with precision out and back. Well deserved RCC. 2 Boorman’s Tessmene Talk Of The Town. Another dog with lots to like and close up to winner. Liked his head and expression, good neck and shoulder, strong body with similar remarks to first but he was not as positive in his movement. 3 M Heartbreaker.
YD (1) 1 T Mr Moonlight.
LD (2) 1 Masson’s Tessmene Summer Solstice. Strong muscular male with good outline and balance. Pleasing head, neck, shoulder, deep chest, firm loin and broad hindquarters. Strong bone with tight feet. Dense liver coat of crisp tight curls. Moved out really well. 2 Driscoll’s Flewetpaw One For Arthur At Hisriver. Another with good coat and colour. He is shorter in back with strong ribbing and appropriate depth of chest. Stands a shade wide in front but has good bone and tidy feet. Moved true.
OD (3) 1 Stephens’ Brightmeadow Never Say Die JW ShCM. Impressive male who is so beautifully balanced. The best of coats with a mass of tight dense curls. He typifies the breed standard from his strong wedge shaped head with expressive dark eyes to his correctly carried tail, balanced all through with excellent proportions and construction. As lovely as he is standing it is on the move he really impresses with his perfect stride and excellent reach and drive. Thrilled to have had the opportunity to judge him and make him my CC and BOB and delighted he went Group 4. 2 Mistlin’s Maycourt Starman By Crookwood ShCM. Mature liver dog rising 8 yrs, but still very much in contention. Pleasing well shaped head with good eye, clean muscular neck into strong shoulders and straight front. Chest is deep, topline firm, correct sweep of stifles and strong hocks. Coat is of good texture. He moved accurately but did not match the enthusiasm of the winners. BV. 3 Edworthy’s Maycourt Cadillac.
Sp Beginners D/B (1) 1 T Talk Of The Town.
PB (3) 1 Stephens’ Brightmeadow Take One Look. Well constructed 9 month old bitch full of breed type. Pretty head, dark eye, neck of moderate length into correct forehand assembly. Straight front, tight well padded feet. Mature in body showing depth and nice ribbing into firm hindquarters. Quality coat. Moved accurately maintaining a good profile. I hope she grows on just a shade but has plenty of time. BP. 2 Courtier’s Maycourt Stairway To Heaven. Preferred her for size but she is immature and still needs to fill her frame. Pretty head, dark eye, lovely neck and forehand assembly, straight bone and tight feet. Moved precisely. When she matures will do well. 3 Jones’ Lizallwood Peggy Sue.
JB (3) 1 Perkins’ Tengore Rubytuesday. A top quality bitch of excellent type. I loved her head and expression, clean neck into well laid shoulders, straight front with strong bone and tight feet. Balanced through the body with ribs well sprung and carried well back to firm loin and muscular hindquarters. Coat of super texture. She moved with precision and maintained a good profile showing excellent reach and drive. In the challenge showed with real conviction I was delighted to award her the CC. 2 M Stairway To Heaven. 3 Whitehead’s Foxreiver Striking Spirit.
YB (1) 1 Perkins’ Tengore Sweet Georgia Brown. Full sister to Junior class winner but this time a liver jacket, again has a tight texture to her coat. Another lovely head and expression. She is built on a larger frame than her sister well balanced and mature but I would prefer more angulation to stifles. Moved true.
PGB (2) 1 Whitehead’s Fleetwoods Sundevil Empress Among Foxriever (Imp USA). Nice head and expression with good dark eye, good dentition but could have more width to muzzle, clean neck, strong forehand with straight front and tight feet. Well ribbed, body firm and level, muscular loin, nice sweep to stifles, moved a shade close behind. 2 Eden’s Roughyeds Minnie Caldwell. Pleasing outline but still needs time to finish maturing. Well shaped head with good eye and expression into good neck, shoulders a shade forward and I would like more width to her front assembly, stands on good tight feet. Moved close behind.
LB (2) 1 Stephens’ Brightmeadow Who’s That Girl. 22 month liver bitch of good breed type and balance. Well shaped feminine head, dark eye and gentle expression with strong jaws. Clean muscular neck into well laid shoulders, deep chest shows a forechest and well sprung ribs. Hindquarters strong and muscular with hocks well let down. Moved true out and back with good side gait. In the challenge just dropped her top line. RCC today but I am sure she will gain her title.
