Curly Comms

Week Ending: 03/09/2023

There’s two weeks of news, information, and communication, in this week’s Curly Comms….
For w/e 27 August 2023 & w/e 3 September 2023.

At Driffield Championship Show, CCRC Chairman, Nigel Spraggins and his wife, Sandra’s,  Merry –  Tusepo Amazing Love won her 2nd CC, and Nornie –  Sh Ch Maycourt Hot Love At Tusepo was Reserve in the Rob Farnsworth Veteran Stakes from an entry of 25.
So this week we took the opportunity to ask about the Tusepo Affix.

Nigel said:
I was born in the Belgium Congo, now DRC. The local language in the area we lived in is Kiluba. We thought it would nice to use a Kiluba word for our affix. Surprisingly the Kennel Club refused some of the words. They agreed to Tusepo which is a farewell salutation ‘Go well’ …. So we have ‘go well curlies’

What a great story! So interesting…

Activities

Cheshire Game and Country Fair, 27 & 28 August 2023
Curlies were represented in The World of Dogs at Cheshire over the Bank Holiday weekend. Nigel & Sandra with Nornie, Merry, & Cerys, and Wendy & Richard with Deco & Nox manned the stand over the two days. We also had some Curly visitors… Vicki, Rob, & Reuben came along with Anise. Meadow, a Fleetpaw curly came to see us, she’s a regular visitor – she’s a proper working curly now, ready for the start of the season. We also had a Brightmeadow curly visit us….. It was a great weekend, and quite a busy one with some really lovely people who seemed to have a real interest in the breed.

Dock Diving at Chatsworth Country Fair, 1 – 3 September 2023
Nigel & Sandra Spraggins’ Nornie took part in the Dock Diving activity at a sunny Chatsworth, over the weekend. An ideal opportunity to cool off and impress the crowd.
