Club News

A message form our BEC – Breed Education Co-ordinator:
Hi.
As BEC for our breed I am here to help everyone to progress in their judging career.
Part of the role is to identify training needs and organise that for aspiring judges or judges looking to progress up the JEP ladder.
All BECs have been told to encourage all judges of whatever level to get registered on the JEP platform and that it is in fact mandatory to be on that set of list to judge at any show. Currently no enforcement is in place however to judge at shows after the 31st December 2025 will require judges to ensure they are registered correctly for the classes they accept appointments for. It will be the judges responsibility to ensure that however as a club the Curly Coated Retriever Club would not want to put any judge in a position of being fined by the RKC for not being correctly registered and results being voided.
I am aware of a couple of cases where people have uploaded information to the JEP platform and after considerable time are still showing as pending. If you are one of those people please contact me and I will do what I can to help. The BECs can often resolve issues with a call to the office.
Please don’t sit on JEP issues I will help!
If you haven’t registered yet and wish to keep judging please do so as being on the Club lists will no longer be valid after 31st December and some shows will not invite you to judge unless you are listed now on JEP.
I’m here to help.
