Minor Breeds Working Test, 16 June 2024
The 2024 Minor Breeds Working Test was this year hosted by the Northern England Flatcoated Retriever Club, at Roan Lodge, Nr Buxton. This is an annual event with teams of Chessies, Curlies, Irish Water Spaniels, Flatcoats, & Tollers, competing.
The Curly Team was made up of Nick Eden & Megan (Kandrelli Eleonora’s Falcon), Sue Margerison & River (Sh Ch Infallibles Black Velvet At Kandrelli) and Bea Barber & Giles (Sh Ch Foxriever Picture Perfect For Blanshard).
Huge Congratulations to the Curly Team on coming a very respectable 3rd place, the results were:

GUNDOG 1 Stephens, Sh Ch Brightmeadow Never Say Die JW ShCM – Retriever (Curly Coated). This dog has impressed me before and today he was on top of his form and pulled out all the stops. A top-quality dog all through, good proportions, masculine head, good front assembly, well bone legs, good feet. solid body, good outline, coat well presented. He strode out well on the move and was sound out and back. In profile he circled the ring with purpose style to win this class and went on to be my Best Veteran In Show. Well Done.
