It was our first CCRC training day of 2026 on Saturday, led by Jill Gardner at her amazing ground in Malmesbury.
Nina told us, ‘We had a gorgeous spring morning on Saturday with 6 Curlies and one honourary Flattie, Rusty. Bev & Olive, Julie & Rusty, Gill & Austin, Rachel & Gunner, myself & Wren, and Paul & Mandy with Otto. We did a mixture of marked and memory retrieves, jumps, steadiness, and coupled retrieves. Beautiful morning in lovely company.‘

1 Cummings, Mrs Jean, Maycourt Island Girl For Breichside, CCR 1yr old, black bitch, a quality CCR that definitely caught my eye. She has a beautiful natural outline, good muscle tone, curls throughout although maybe a little soft and open today in places. Head of correct proportions although would prefer ever so slightly softer. Good neck leading to correct forequarters, nicely sprung ribs and a good turn of stifle. Moved round the ring faultlessly, when left to stand on her own she has a good outline. Best AVNSC Gundog.
