‘The Glorious Twelfth’ – Novice Training Session & BBQ
, 12 August 2023
This session was organised by CCRC Working Co-ordinator, and trainer for the day, Lesley Eden. Those in attendance were Aly Clayton & Monty, Heather Driscoll & Beau, Nick Eden & Megan, Su Carlin & Kerie, and Sue & Rain, they were able to  use Lesley & Nick’s fabulous land and water for their training exercises. It was an enjoyable day, and the weather was better than expected. They concentrated on steadiness, hunting, retrieves, and water retrieves. Afterwards they all enjoyed a well deserved BBQ, with Nick in charge of the cooking.
Many thanks to Nick and Lesley Eden, and Sue Margerison.

Heather & Beau with a nice delivery to hand

Lesley told us:
‘Handlers and their dogs of varying ability and experience. Helping the handlers to grow and their dogs to learn. We learn from each other with all wearing their ‘L’ because however long we have been training there is always something new to learn, because the handler and dog combination is always new. The motto is keep learning and train the dog in front of you.

Far Forest Show, 12 August 2023
Up and coming new handler Arlo Hutchins had his 6th birthday on Saturday, and had a great day at Far Forest Show.

Arlo and Norrie, Foxriever Moon Dancer, took part in a Junior Handling Class and came 2nd, winning a lovely rosette.
Happy Birthday Arlo and Well Done!
