Windsor Championship Show, 26 June 2025
Gundog Group
Judge: Gavin Robertson
Really huge congratulations must go to the officers and committee of Windsor dog show for putting on an excellent show. Super layout, spacious rings and very relaxed atmosphere all around, not to mention the glorious weather with the most iconic of backgrounds. It is always nice to be able to judge the full set of gundog breeds at an All breed show, especially some of the minority and rarer breeds. The quality for type was fair but sadly construction and movement was not across the board today. That said i was happy with my shortlist which comprised of the GSP,Italian Spinone,Lagotto, FCR, Cocker.
Gp1 the Curly Coated Retriever Thygesens’ Nor/Dk/Se Sh Ch Skaringen’s First Impressionand for me was a standout today the minute she came around the ring at the start. Hands on her she is so nice to feel, a balanced wedge shaped head with level head plains, the darkest of eyes, she has the cleanest of neck and back lines, mainly due to her excellent front assembly married with her strong rear quarters, slightly longer body with good leg length, lovely straight forelegs, good forechest, her thick tight curls to her coat are spot on. i loved watching her move, effortless with good foot fall really covering the ground and has no hesitation awarding her the top spot, nice to hear she was BOB at Crufts this year and today was her 2nd CC, im sure if handler and dog return to these shores she will easily title. She fully deserved her RBIS spot on Sunday too under Zena Thorn Andrews.
Fife Kennel Association, 29 June 2025
Judge: Jane Smith (Luanshya)
I have judged both of these bitches before and placed them the other way around – today 2 was very unsettled on the move as she hasn’t been showing for a short time. I liked them both and Im sure they swap places on many occasions. Today, they both struggled in the sunshine with their
black coats, bless them.
1. Cummings – Molokain Enchanted One – 6-year-old lady, very balanced and presented a nice outline when standing. Love her gentle, friendly
expression. Great depth of chest and good bone structure with well-arched feet. She has a strong, powerful neck and well-laid shoulders. Straight in front. She has well-sprung ribs. She is in superb coat and condition. She went well for her young handler, again another one struggling slightly with
the heat of the day.
2. Bain – Crimblescurl Time To Tango At Wenichones JW – A 4-year-old girl who gave her handler a hard time today! She presents a clean, balanced outline, but slightly longer than 1. She is very feminine with a kind, gentle expression. She has a strong neck, deep chest, and ample bone and substance throughout. Well muscled with correct coat texture. In excellent, clean, hard condition.
3. Cummings – May Court Island Girl For Breichside – I just had to give a mention to this adorable baby. I really love her style! While she’s still young and not quite ready to compete with the two grown adults today, she shows so much promise. I look forward to seeing her grow and develop. Wishing you the best of luck with her!

Well ribbed back leading through to correctly set tail and strong hindquarters. Good bone and feet. Moved well and displayed good open side gait when viewed in profile. Well covered in tight crisp curls.

Puppy 3 (2)
1st Violeta Borboleta Jaques Du Moulin Du Paula (Clayton), RBB today
2nd Violeta Mariposa Horace Du Moulin Du Paula (imp FRA) (Dooley)
Both good examples of the breed at the age of 9 months showing lots of promise. Good overall conformation, good typical heads and kind eye. Moved well, the winner today just won on mor body covering and a slightly better coat.
Post Graduate (2)
1st Rowancurl Beachcomber (Evans ) Would like to see more covering in body, however a pleasing shape overall. Her head was so very classical. Changing coats at the moment but over all a pleasing type bitch .
2nd Ethereal glaze from Tornado Beta for Haneslau (imp LTU) (Carlin), A little unsure of her surroundings today, but with confidence she should in my opinion have a bright future.
Open (2)
1st Kukkasen Keita by Caballus (Evans), She stole the show today, She is so very classical no mistake in saying is a Curly Coat. Her shape and overall conformation is good, moved so well and I have to say her head and expression was a delight. BOB.
2nd Celebrated Caramel from Tornado Beta (imp LTU), At 6 years old pleasing overall but lacks coat today.
