Retrievers Working Test

 Basic Requirements

Must be steady to shot and fall of dummies.

Must retrieve only on command.

Could be tested in a walk up i.e a line of 4 to 6 dogs asked to walk steady and retrieve on command.

Good marking, quick pick-up and fast return are desirable.

Seen and blind retrieves.

Retrieves out of water.

Quiet handling and control is desirable.

All test performed off the lead.

CLASSES

 1       Novice

Confined to dogs not having gained a place or Certificate Of Merit at a field trial, been placed 1^st 2^nd or 3^rd in an Open Gun Dog Working Test, or 1^st in a Novice Gun Dog Working Test.

2       Open

Open to all dogs.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL COMPETITORS

No person attending a Gun Dog Working Test may allow a bitch in season at or on the test ground or foul any ground to be used by competing dogs.
